Our Founders
Mark and Natalie co-founded one of the pioneering companies in the Cleantech space, Semplice Energy, in 2005 before selling the company to Centrica plc in 2008.
Mark

I’m a highly experienced sales leader with a passion for building sales teams and helping early stage technology companies build and expand their GTM functions. I bring a blend of strategic sales leadership experience together with practical, hands on sales experience as both an individual contributor and sales leader.
Having transitioned from software development, before moving into pre-sales and then sales, I’m well placed to bridge across the technical and business functions within a company and help early stage technology companies develop the best GTM strategy for their technology offerings.
I have experience building GTM functions from zero for very early stage companies and also building upon existing teams and processes within later stage organisations approaching $100m in ARR.
I have many years of direct sales experience selling a variety of technologies across multiple industries, as part of complex solution stacks involving multiple stakeholders. I’m familiar with a variety of sales approaches and strategies, although most of my experience has been in direct new business sales roles.
Across my career I’ve witnessed multiple shifts in the technology landscape and seen a variety of different sales and marketing approaches. The most successful companies I’ve seen have adopted customer-centric, collaborative and solution-oriented sales led approaches.
Being a techie at heart with a passion for new technologies and a belief that technologies can help transform the world for the better, I look forward to helping you bring your vision to reality and engineering your GTM for success.
Natalie

I’m passionate about the power and potential of science and technology to make the world a better place and empowering entrepreneurs in those spaces to bring their dreams to life.
After studying law at the University of Reading, I trained and qualified as a solicitor in the private equity team at Osborne Clarke, advising companies and VCs on a range of investment, buy-out and acquisition work, before co-founding a Cleantech startup called Semplice Energy.
Semplice Energy developed energy efficiency and renewable energy technology solutions (EcoSolutions) for reducing energy consumption within organisations. At Semplice Energy we took proven GTM strategies used by software companies to sell complex software solutions and applied them to the Cleantech sector. Using this approach we were able to significantly increase individual deal values and encourage the adoption of renewable technologies that had previously been difficult and expensive to bring to market. Within 3 years we had achieved a successful trade sale exit to Centrica plc.
After the success of Semplice Energy, I gained more experience in helping companies scale as Programme Director of the Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub. I provided advice and support to a variety of start-ups and scaling companies across the Thames Valley region, including help preparing business plans, pitching for funding and linking to other sources of funding and support, such as Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade.
I am a strong advocate for ethical business, compliance and anti-corruption and have a certificate in Anti-Money Laundering from the ICA.
