Our GTM Assessment service provides you with powerful insights into your existing GTM strategy and capabilities, and delivers a high level GTM action plan or roadmap aligned with your wider strategic objectives.

A GTM Assessment is the required first step for all of our GTM Solutions based on the SUM Framework, but we also offer GTM Assessments as a stand alone service.

We conduct a thorough assessment, based on the SUM Framework, to ensure that we identify all factors impacting your GTM. Following this process, you’ll know:

  • Where your current messaging resonates (and where it confuses).
  • Which ICP segments show both urgency and budget.
  • How well your pricing aligns with perceived value.
  • Where founder‑led sales is propping up deals that won’t scale.

The GTM Assessment will also identify any problem areas that should be remedied straight away, plus it will provide you with a prioritised action plan, so that your time and money are targeted against the highest GTM priorities.

As part of the assessment process, we will work with you to agree a meeting plan so that we can gather information from the founders and wider team. We will also request access to product and technical information, systems such as your CRM, copies of business plans, customer contracts and other commercial information to help us understand your technology and GTM plans. During the Assessment, you will have access to the confidential and secure SUM Client Portal, which will enable us to collaborate with you and share documents.

Areas that we assess include product market fit and product roadmap, messaging, TAM and ICP, competitive analysis, product pricing, value based selling, building pipeline, GTM team structures and compensation, GTM systems and processes, GTM motions, alliances, qualification, forecasting, deal structures, and customer success.
