What is Fractional Leadership?
Fractional leadership engagements with Scaleup Machine provide cost-effective access to GTM support when you need it. The need for a leadership/management boost may arise at the most inconvenient time. We can provide fractional support in many areas of your business.
Fractional leadership engagements typically span 3-12 months and provide support for between 1-3 days per week. We can work entirely remotely, although we prefer to work alongside you and your team if possible, for at least 1 day per week.
Fractional leadership can be useful to bridge a resource gap or temporarily bolster your team. For example, we can provide:
- GTM leadership can cover you before you have identified a founding GTM leader.
- Interim cover while you recruit a permanent leader.
- Cover for parental leave.
- Additional GTM support for your team in the run up to an investment round.
- The right person to implement a new process, or tool such as a CRM or an outbound marketing strategy.
We’re very Flexible with Fractional
We have a very flexible approach and engagement style with early stage companies. You can combine training for your team in go-to-market thinking with a SUM run assessment process that delivers an investment ready GTM Roadmap. We can also temporarily become part of the founding team, filling gaps as needed.
During a fractional leadership engagement, we will ensure that sales and operations stay on track, suggest ways of optimising GTM activities using the SUM Framework and keep your team motivated through a period of change.
